IRIOSH Research Series is an independent, international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing occupational safety, health, worker well-being, and sustainable workplaces worldwide.

Published by the International Research Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IRIOSH), Canada, the journal serves as a platform for the dissemination of high-quality research, policy analysis, technical reports, case studies, and interdisciplinary perspectives that contribute to safer and healthier workplaces across diverse sectors and regions.

The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, practitioners, policymakers, regulators, educators, industry leaders, and students working in occupational safety and health and related disciplines.

The journal operates under rigorous ethical standards and a transparent peer-review process to ensure the integrity, quality, and credibility of published research.

Peer Review Process

IRIOSH Research Series follows a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and scholarly value of published research.

All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening before being assigned to independent peer reviewers with relevant subject matter expertise.

The journal normally seeks at least two independent peer-review reports prior to an editorial decision.

Editorial decisions may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, resubmission, or rejection.

Publication Ethics

IRIOSH Research Series is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity.

The journal expects authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to accepted scholarly standards regarding originality, transparency, authorship, conflicts of interest, and ethical research conduct.

Plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, and other forms of research misconduct are not tolerated.

The journal is guided by internationally recognized principles of publication ethics, including the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when necessary to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Team based on scholarly merit, methodological quality, originality, relevance, and ethical compliance.

Editorial decisions are not influenced by the IRIOSH Board of Directors, sponsors, donors, collaborators, advertisers, or external stakeholders.

The journal evaluates all submissions fairly and without discrimination.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could influence the research, review, or publication process.

Open Access Policy

IRIOSH Research Series follows an open-access publishing model. All published articles are freely available online without subscription or access fees. The journal seeks to promote equitable global access to occupational safety and health knowledge.

Authors retain copyright of their published work. By submitting and publishing with IRIOSH Research Series, authors grant the journal the right of first publication.
