Digital Object Identifier (DOI) & Metadata Policy

IRIOSH Research Series is committed to the persistent identification, accurate metadata, discoverability, and long-term accessibility of scholarly works published by the International Research Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IRIOSH).

Eligible scholarly works published by IRIOSH may be registered with Crossref and assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs). DOI eligibility is determined according to the publication type, editorial status, metadata completeness, and availability of an appropriate persistent landing page.

Assignment of a DOI provides a persistent identifier for a scholarly work and supports citation, discovery, and linking. A DOI does not, by itself, constitute evidence of peer review, scientific validity, quality, or endorsement by IRIOSH. The editorial and peer-review status of each publication is determined independently through the applicable IRIOSH Research Series editorial process.

IRIOSH is committed to maintaining the accuracy of registered metadata and the continued resolution of DOIs assigned to its publications. Where corrections, updates, withdrawals, retractions, or other changes to the scholarly record are necessary, associated metadata and publication information will be maintained or updated as appropriate.

IRIOSH encourages authors and contributors to provide complete and accurate publication metadata, including names, institutional affiliations, ORCID identifiers where available, funding information where applicable, and other relevant scholarly identifiers. This supports accurate attribution, discoverability, interoperability, and the integrity of the scholarly record.
